The quantum‐statistical mechanics, at low temperature, of a one‐dimensional antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model with two anisotropies is studied in the weak‐coupling limit. The temperature dependence of the magnon masses, the soliton energy, and the soliton density are determined. Experimental data for TMMC are analysed.
