The method of double‐time—temperature spin Green's function is used to study the magnetic properties of layered antiferromagnets with arbitrary spin S within Tyablikov's decoupling approximation. According to the extent of suppression of interlayer coupling on the two‐dimensional spin fluctuations, we divide the low‐temperature region into two new regions, and give the asymptotic expressions of sublattice magnetization and parallel susceptibility for each of these temperature regions. The relation between Néel temperature and interlayer coupling strength is calculated and compared with other works.
