On basic of the magnetic properties the statistical homogeneity of the Al 2 O 3 –Fe 2 O 3 solid solution system is estimated. Summarizing the data obtained the conclusion is made that the distribution of Fe 3+ ions in the (Fe x Al 1– x ) 2 O 3 lattice for concentrations 0.005 ≦ x ≦ 0.07 does not obey statistical regularities.
