It is shown that the reference system approach (see part I of this paper), based on the application of n ‐particle correlation functions of a degenerate system of noninteracting electrons, proves to be efficient in describing the interacting electron gas in the medium density region. The energetic, dielectric, and structural characteristics of the homogeneous electron liquid ground state are obtained as functions of the coupling parameter r s .
