Abstract Perturbed angular correlation measurements are performed with 111 In in dilute binary alloys of Ag with Ni and Rh impurities. It is demonstrated that In atoms attract these impurities and the binding energy for In‐Ni and In‐Rh pairs in the silver matrix is determined. Besides the solute atoms of Ni and Rh the precipitates of these two elements are also observed in the alloys. It is possible to estimate the solid solubility limit for Ni and Rh in Ag.
