The electrical resistivity of some simple liquid metals are evaluated using the charged hard‐sphere reference system for a description of the structure, while a non‐local pseudopotential is used to describe the electron‐ion interactions. It is concluded that the inclusion of local‐field corrections leads to an improvement between calculated values and experiment. Secondly it is deduced that improvements between computed results and experiments can be obtained by using a modified form of the Ziman resistivity expression which takes into account the use of a non‐local pseudopotential.
