Two‐dimensional commensurable ordered superstructures that can arise in La 2 MeO 4+δ (Me = Cu, Ni) crystals are considered. It is shown that stable superstructures with δ = 0.125, 0.25, and 0.5 are formed as long‐range ordering of superstoichiometrical oxygen. The decomposition of a nonstoichiometric La 2 MeO 4+δ compound into the ordered phases with stoichiometric compositions is proposed.
