A mathematical model to examine the evolution of large dislocation complexes in crystals is proposed. The complexes are studied both, in the presence and after the removal of external mechanical stress. The problem is solved within the framework of continuous dislocation distribution with account of elastic long‐range interactions and thermal activation of dislocation movement.
