A theory of phonons in amorphous solids developed by Takeno and Goda using a self‐consistent method is extended for the numerical calculations of the longitudinal and transverse modes in equiatomic NaK alloy. The computed results are compared with recently reported molecular dynamics results. The longitudinal phonon mode agrees fairly well with the MD results.
