For the Ising ferromagnets with S = 1, S = 3/2, S = 5/2, the magnetic susceptibility λ is calculated with the use of the pair model approximation. Assuming the bilinear and biquadratic exchange interactions ( J and J ′) between nearest‐neighbouring pair of spins and the uniaxial single‐ionic anisotropy D ‐term for each spin, the behaviours of χ as a function of these exchange parameters and the uniaxial anisotropy parameter are investigated for four cases of the Ising spin system with the above spin values.
