It is shown that in terms of the bisoliton model the effect of a magnetic field on ceramic high‐temperature superconductors is qualitatively different from that on superconductors that satisfy BCS theory. The energy gap and the critical temperature change little with increasing field and sharply become zero in fields exceeding the critical value.
