The kinetics of an ensemble of jogs on a straight edge dislocation is investigated for a material supersaturated with vacancies and interstitials. The concentration of jogs is determined in a selfconsistent manner under the assumption of low efficiency of absorption of point defects by dislocation jogs. The range of validity of the results obtained is discussed.
