Wilson's renormalization‐group approach is used to study the magnetic susceptibility of a model with two different magnetic impurities. The particular case is considered in which only one impurity is coupled to the conduction band (Kondo coupling) and there is a direct interaction ( J L ) between the two impurities. For ferromagnetic interaction ( J L > 0) between the localized impurities, a magnetic ground state is found and a divergent susceptibility at low temperatures. For ( J L < 0), two different Kondo temperatures and a nonmagnetic ground state are distinguished.
