A two‐sublattice spin model ( S = 1) with three‐ion interactions besides the usual exchange terms is investigated. By means of standard basis‐operator representation within the high density expanison method, formulae for the temperature‐depedent spectra of elementary excitations are obtained. The results in the limit T → 0 are compared with the experimental spectrum of elementary excitations for field‐induced metamagnet FeCl 2 .
