Effect of biquadratic exchange on Curie temperature of a spin‐1 ferromagnet with anisotropic exchange interaction is studied using the Green function approach in the Anderson‐Callen decoupling approximation. The variation of Curie temperature with biquadratic exchange interaction is calculated for crystal lattices of different coordination numbers and for spin systems of various anisotropy parameters of the exchange interaction. Anisotropy parameters for which biquadratic exchange interaction has no effect on the Curie temperature are determined. The results of various approaches are compared.
