A semi‐infinite simple cubic spin‐½ Ising ferromagnet with surface amorphization is investigated by extending the mean‐field theory of amorphous bulk ferromagnets. The magnetic properties of the surface are examined as a function of averaged surface exchange 〈 J   ij s 〉 r = J (1 + Δ) and fluctuation of the surface exchange interaction. Some characteristic behaviours of the system are found.
