The relative absorbed power of polarized light is calculated for copper thin films by means of Green's functions technique and ECPA approach. A mechanism of polarized light absorption on the electrically neutral as well as electrically charged films is analysed. It is concluded that the crystallographic structure and a volume charge parameter \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ \bar n_s $\end{document} play the most important role in light absorption.
