An influence of the deviation from Bragg's angle on the efficiency of the acousto‐optical interaction considering electrostriction is theoretically analysed. Anti‐Stokes and Stokes isotropic interaction as well as optical generation of the acoustic waves in dielectric crystals are investigated.
