The pulse field measurements of magnetisation for Y 2 (Co 1− x Mn x ) 17 and Gd 2 (Co 1− x Mn x ) 17 series with x ≦ 0.3 in the 78 to 300 K temperature range are reported. In contrast to anisotropy changes different behaviours of saturation magnetisation for the Y and Gd based series are observed. The presented results are analysed and explained by preferential substitution and reorientation of Mn moments, where dipolar interactions with Gd are considered.
