In BiI 3 the n = 5 and n = 6 lines of the inverse hydrogen‐like transmission spectra show a negative diamagnetic shift at 4 K for magnetic field strengths up to 50 T. Within the bielectron model the diamagnetic shift of such quasiparticle is calculated explicitly for higher‐excited states. The found results allow a satisfying quantitative explanation of the experimental findings.
