Analytic expressions are obtained for the ion interaction potentials in simple metals in the pseudopotential formulation by utilizing an approximation scheme. The technique is applicable with most of the model pseudopotential form factors in common use. The analytic potentials are found to be in reasonable agreement with the exact ones obtained by numerical integration.
