Raman spectra of CsCdBr 3 are reported in the temperature range 4.2 to 300 K. The symmetry assignation is performed for all the observed peaks; besides the five expected Raman active first‐order modes, a weak structure is observed and attributed to a second‐order process. The temperature dependence of frequencies and linewidths is studied. An anomalous effect of Pb doping on the low temperature linewidths is discussed.
