The influence of the size‐quantization on the Fermi energy, the carrier density, and the cyclotron effective mass in Bi films with normal along the trigonal, binary, or bisectrix axes is discussed. The numerical calculations are performed in the framework of the two‐band ellipsoidal model. Comparison with the results obtained in the framework of the ellipsoidal parabolic model is given.
