Having justified an empirical approach by the study of the correlations between the hyperfine constant value of the Mn 2+ ion and bonding parameters in different host matrices, it is applied to muonium. Thus its preference for a cation environment in tetrahedral structures is revealed, which could be partially screened in other ones.
