The three‐body interaction model recently developed by Lehri and Verma for rare gas solids is extended to include the effect of thermal contributions and zero‐point energy. The generalized expressions for second‐and third‐order elastic constants which are valid at any temperature are reported. These expressions are applied for evaluating the temperature dependence of second‐ and third‐order elastic contants for Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe.
