The energy level scheme of Pr 3+ in BiLiF 4 is investigated by means of polarized absorption and emission spectroscopy on single crystal samples at various temperatures. Vibronic lines appearing in the spectra are identified according to the q = 0‐phonons of the host coupling to electronic levels.
