A fine structure (a new 195 nm band) is found of the fast luminescence component from BaF 2 crystal excited by electrons. This band has a decay time of (0.8 ± 0.1) ns and is observed in the case of electron excitation and not in α‐particle excitation. The observed fine structure is explained by the model of Aleksandrov et al.
