The Ising model in a transverse field is treated by means of the Green's function technique to calculate the dynamical structure factor below and above T c in KDP‐ and DKDP‐type ferroelectrics. Deuteration causes a decreasing in the frequency of the soft‐ferroelectric mode and an increasing in the spin—spin damping. The underdamped character of the soft mode disappears on deuteration. In KD 2 PO 4 the peak around the soft mode is absent and the ferroelectric mode spectra below and above T c consist only of the central peak around E = 0. All obtained results are in very good agreement with the experimental data.
