The study of the correlations between bonding parameters (ionicity, bond length) of a crystal and some spin‐Hamiltonian parameters of a magnetic probe allows to demonstrate the occurrence of a lattice relaxation induced by the condition of a constant bond length between an identical pair of bonded ions, independently of the host matrix under consideration.
