For Ising ferromagnets with S = 1, S = 3/2, and S = 2, the magnetization 〈 S z 〉 and the Curie temperature T C are calculatded with the use of pair mode lapproximation. Assuming the bilinear and biquadratic exchange interactions ( J and J ′) between nearest‐neighbouring pair of spins and the uniaxial single‐ionic anisotropy D for each spin, the behaviours of 〈 S z 〉 and T C as a function of these exchange parameters and the uniaxial anisotropy parameter are investigated for the Ising spin systems with various values of the spin.
