Positrons implanted into the solid are thermalized and can diffuse to the surface. The probability of trapping positrons by the solid surface and by the surface of defects is calculated. Obvious analytic expressions for W( t ), F, and I v ( t ) in terms of special functions are obtained, as well as an obvious criterion for the case of many defects. The obtained results show that the dynamics of a thermalized positron interaction with a surface affects the positron lifetime spectra.
