Tunneling states of off‐center impurities and Jahn‐Teller systems are examples of an application of excited states of quantum‐mechanical three‐dimensional harmonic oscillators. A method is developed, which allows the calculation of symmetrized bases with minor computing expense. Results are given for the cubic groups O, T d , and O h .
