Phonon Dispersion of Disordered FeAl Alloy

Phonon dispersion curves for disordered state (b.c.c.) of Fe‐22.5% Al alloy are calculated using the deLauney angular force model and compared with the experimental one. It is found that the force constants of the alloy system are related to the force constants of Fe and Al in the b.c.c. and f.c.c. phase, respectively. Good agreement is obtained between theory and experiment.
