Defect reactions in electron‐irradiated α‐Fe 111 In were studied by means of the perturbed‐angular‐correlation (PAC) technique. There is no indication of a mutual annihilation of freely migrating Stage‐I E defects and Stage‐III defects trapped at 111 In probes. This is as expected from the two‐interstitial model and provides strong evidence against the one‐interstitial model for α‐Fe.
