A rigorous derivation of the boundary conditions for the quasiclassical distribution functiondescribing the multichannel reflection of the conduction electrons from the perfect surface of the ideal crystal is made by considering the equation of motion of the one‐electron density matrix. A generalization of the results obtained is given for the case of incoherent scattering of the charge carriers by the nonideal surface.
