Experimental results of the energy dependence of very low incident energy (0 to 20 eV above the vacuum level) electron reflectance from undoped and from Mn‐doped MgO(100) surfaces are obtained. The fine features of the spectrum are discussed in terms of bulk and surface electronic interband transitions, defect center absorption, and impurity level resonance.
