The Boltzmann equation is investigated in the presence of strong and time‐dependent electromagnetic fields taking into account the intra‐collisional field effect. The expression obtained for the field‐induced tail of the electron‐phonon scattering rate leads to the known results for static fields at low frequencies and includes at higher frequencies multiphoton processes.
