The photoconductivity excited in the region of absorption of colour centres in irradiated corundum by high energy electrons is investigated. A theory of photoconductivity is constructed determined by electron jumps between spatially separated F + centres. With reasonable values of parameters one may achieve a satisfactory quantitative agreement of theoretical and experimental values of the photocurrent.
