Disordered alloys of RE metals are considered and a general formula for paramagnetic susceptibility and the equation for Curie temperature are derived. The previously derived effective exchange interaction is assumed and the crystal electric field is taken into account. Molecular field and Hart‐ree‐Fock approximations combined with the coherent potential approximation are used. The results obtained are applied to Gd 1−x RE x Al 2 (RE = Dy, Ho, Er) and discussed together with the experimental data.
