Derivative spectra of the optical properties of β′‐AuZn are obtained using wavelength‐modulated spectroscopy between 1.5 and 5.1 eV. Assignments are made for the interband transition at the M point of the Brillouin zone which fix the transition energies with an accuracy previously unattained.
