Within the frames of a previously suggested mechanism an elementary act of exoelectron emission resulting from annihilation of an F‐centre and interstitial negative halogen ion in a NaCl crystal is discussed. The dependence of the EEE parameters on the crystal orientation is studied. Energy spectra and exoemission parameters are obtained for three different crystal orientations. There is good agreement between the theory and experimental results.
