The practical usefulness of the method of determination of pseudopotential parameters due to Senoo et al. and Soma is examined. It is found that this method is useful for the comprehensive study of electronic und atomic properties of simple metals. The wave vector q 0 , where the form factor becomes zero, plays a vital role and its correct determination is highly desirable. The present work deals with such study, calculations of band energies at major symmetry points, evaluation of electrical resistivity, and thermoelectric power of aluminium (liquid and solid phases).
