Instead of solving the set of the 2 s equations for the Green function of a ferromagnetic with singleion and two‐ion anisotropy of arbitrary order, it is suggested to solve a single equation for the parametric Green function. Green's function, low‐temperature spectrum, and magnetization are calculated for an anisotropic ferromagnet with arbitrary spin. In the low‐temperature region one spin wave branch is excited and as a consequence the thermodynamical behaviour of the system is particularly simple.
