The total screened potential produced by a static point‐charge impurity in diamond is calculated using a real‐space formalism. In this formalism a two‐flat‐band model is assumed. The potential is calculated for substitutional and “tetrahedral” and “hexagonal” interstitial positions. A very large cavity potential is obtained for interstitial impurities.
