Abstract A discussion of the calculation of electrical resistivity of liquid alkali metals is presented. The electrical resistivity is revised for these metals from various model potentials using experimental as well as theoretical structure factors. The over‐all agreement between Ziman's theory and experiment is reasonably satisfactory though not in detail. Most of the discrepancies are explained by the behaviour of the structure factor, and in other cases by the validity of the screened pseudopotential employed.
