The growth and Raman scattering results obtained for ZnGa 2 x In 2(1− x ) S 4 , Zn x Cd 1− x Ga 2 S 4 , and CdGa 2 x In 2(1− x ) S 4 tetragonal pseudoternary compounds are given and discussed. The phonon spectra display one‐ and two‐mode behaviour. For Zn x Cd 1− x Ga 2 S 4 compounds a virtual crystal model seems to describe the observed one‐mode behaviour.
