The coherent potential approximation is applied to the effective magnon Hamiltonian. The magnon creation operator is defined in this method for the average medium. The average exchange spin wave stiffness constant is calculated and the expression is given for the magnon scattering contribution to the stiffness constant. The method of calculation of the magnon energy in disordered alloys presented in this paper gives the same result as the method based on the dynamical transverse susceptibility.
