The subject of this paper is a method for the examination of asymmetrical grain boundaries with randomly directed axes of rotation. In so far as the axis of rotation lies in a plane of symmetry of the crystal the geometrical relation between symmetrical and asymmetrical grain boundaries is shown. The CSL Bravais cells corresponding to asymmetrical grain boundaries and the facet angles for the considered grain boundaries are calculated.
