To study the frequency dependence of the phonon–dislocation scattering, the phonon conductivity of germanium with dislocations is analysed using Holland's model and Kumar and Sinha's relaxation time for the phonon–dislocation scattering processes. A reasonably good agreement is observed between present theory and experimental data of Sato and Sumino.
