Correlation effects in disordered transition metal alloys are studied within the degenerated Hubbard model using the perturbation theory limited to the second order in U/w ( U Coulomb integral, w bandwidth). The influence of disorder is included within the coherent potential approximation. The theory is illustrated on a simple model of the copper–nickel alloy.
